UK Quad Core Version - Questions

droidmau5

Lurker
Right I am getting the UK LTE version with a quad core, 2gb Ram and ships with Jelly Bean. BUT I am getting it on a 3G network (orange) as it is '4G' ready.
I'm doing this so I can switch to EE when the pricing goes down (and get discounts as an orange customer).

Will the battery life be the same as the non LTE version when running on a 3G network..?

Thanks for the answers.

Yes. I picked up my S3 lte today and you can select if you want to have 4g enabled or turn it off and just run 3g. When you have only 3g running the phone isn't searching for a 4g signal so the battery usage Will be exactly the same.

I just got my phone where do you find this option

my battery is lasting forever right now so i assume 4G is off but if its not i would like even more battery time lol

It's in settings, more settings, mobile networks, network mode. You will have 2 settings - auto and 3g only. Auto mode will search and connect you automatically to either 3g or 4g.
