Also email Moto this morning and they confirmed that the Atrix and the Xoom would be in the UK at some unspecified date.

There's also a press release saying that Orange UK are getting the Atrix in Q2.
 
Be interesting for you guys in the US if that means the AT&T version has the global GSM frequencies... They could of course cripple that easily.
 
What band frequencies does Orange use? Maybe you can just import it if it releases in the US earlier than the UK. Besides, everything is more expensive in the UK anyway, so you might save some money.

Karnka - you have been waiting a long time for this phone, I know how frustrating it is when phones don't release in your home country until like 6 months later (The HTC HD2 was a killer for me!). If the bands are compatible and you want one from the US, let me know and I'll buy two and send you one if you pay for the phone and all shipping costs.

edit - also, is newcastle near London? I have some friends in London who could possibly help with the transaction.
