Ultimate google thread

Ok..
I have got the google maps 4.3.0 apk file from somewhere on the net.
If I install it, will it overwrite the default app or make a new one?
 
Hi, I've been using maps for transit with my htc sensation 4g, and it worked fine, though i noticed it crashes every once in a while, but now it seemed to have acted up pretty bad coz everytime i try to access it with transit mode it says "NO ROUTE FOUND" and continues to give me directions in driving instead.

Has anyone ever had the same problem? how can i fix this? thanks!
 
I have Copilot on my Desire after an hour of using it my Desire overheats and reboots had the Mobo changed but it still continues to overheat what I would like to know is if anyone as Copilot sat nav on another make of phone with this same problem

The overheating issue is generally down to a faulty Mobo on the PVT1 version HTC Desire. Boot into hboot (from off, hold vol down and press power). On the HBOOT screen, it will say PVT1, 2, 3 or 4.

If it's PVT1, its likely that they swapped the mobo for another faulty one. The issue is Desire Specific.
 
PVT 4 didnt necessarily suffer from the issue like the PVT1 did.

PVT4 is no way over the 2 year warranty period though.
 
Thanks again..... I purchased my Desire when they first came on the market I live in Spain so I sent it to a Spanish service centre they returned it saying there was nothing wrong with it but there was...... so my friend who speaks fluent Spanish was able to return it that is when they changed the mobo this time I do like the Desire but not sure whether I would purchase another HTC phone
