My wife and I just switched to a tmobile family plan and both got the samsung exhibit 4g.
Her's being purple and mine black.
Her's is in HSDPA mode all the time and downloads super fast!
Mine is usually in UMTS. We got the phones a couple days ago, and I migrated my number from us cellular and the guy at tmobile said i'd have to wait upto 48 hours to be able to use the network. Yesterday was the first day i was able to connect to the network and i was just UMTS.
This morning i had to reinstall twitter and i noticed in installed really quickly. i checked my network and it said HSDPA, but about a half hour later it was back at UMTS. It seems to switch back and forth on me, but it's usually UMTS.
I just find it odd that her's is always HSDPA but mine isn't, is there any difference other than the color that we're unaware of?
Any help would be appreciated, I plan on going back to tmobile within the next few days if it keeps doing this.
