Root UN-installing TWRP

I have a HTC desire 510 that I successfully rooted. This was my first rooting experience, so I don't know quite as much as I should.

I'm currently stuck trying to get rid of TWRP so I can install my system updates I've needed to do for months.

Today I went into my Rom toolbox and ran Rom installer. I was able to find the system update, and a notice appeared saying something like "installing this update may cause your device to be unusable".

My question is:
Is twrp now un needed on my phone? And how do I get rid of it?
Has anyone seen this message about your device being unusable?
If I go through with that install, what's the worst that could happen?
