Help Unable to Charge Warning (in car dock)

I've gotten this warning twice now. While I'm playing music in the car, a window pops up telling me that my phone is using more current than the charger is able to deliver. My dock sits over an air vent; could it be too cold?

Anyone else get this?

it means what it says, you are using more power than you are getting while charging.

you should get a Charge only cable that will give you more current to keep up with your phone and apps that are demanding a lot of battery power.

some cables are sync and will only output 500 mA which is USB current. its trickle charge at best.

You should look into a different charge cable and cig lighter setup. go here for suggestions:

... My dock sits over an air vent; could it be too cold? ...

Shouldn't be too cold ... unless you'll cool it there below 0C (32F) ;)

The phone will be charged with a battery's temperature of 0C (32F) to 45C (113F).
With temperatures outside of this range the phone's charge controlling will shut down the charging for to protect the Li-Ion battery.
