Hi,
So I know there are a ton of threads about this but I can't seem to find the answer ANYWHERE. I have a Samsung Captivate running stock Froyo 2.2, and I simply want to root it. However, I'm using Mac OS X Lion (though Snow Leopard didn't recognize it either) and it simply never recognizes the device. I have tried mounting, turning on/off debugging, using different ports, everything! I am using the cable that came with the phone so I know it can transfer data. I also tried connecting it on the Windows 7 32-bit side of my Macbook, but even running windows, I can't get the drivers to install, so I cannot connect on either OS. All I want to do is simply use SuperOneClick to root it, so I can take screenshots but I can't figure out how to connect it!
Help please?
Thanks!
