Unable to delete mail on the server

I use hotmail using the standard mail app. I have it checked to delete mail on the server but when I delete the mail it comes back once it refreshes the inbox. Anyone else encounter this? I searched but couldn't find anything similar.

Having same issue on one of my Increds, also on Hotmail. It just started today. I tried power-cycling, soft reset, removing and re-creating the email account, and eventually a hard reset. None of these things solved the problem.

I called VZW, who in turn called HTC. HTC advised that they are not aware of this issue, and that something in the phone's software must be corrupt. They then advised VZW to mark the phone DOA and replace with a new phone. VZW placed the order, and I will have my new phone on Wednesday. Hope this helps.

So there is no fix for this issue? Is this so uncommon that calling Verizon is the only fix?
