unable to download attachments

it shows me a message with a download button, when i press the download button it says cant downolad attachment. been like this for a week
wifes phone works fine and i can send pictures.

I'm getting this too. I'm using the standard email utility in the phone. It recognises that there is an attachment, but says that it isn't downloaded. When you click to download it looks as though it is, but then goes back to the same message of saying it isn't downloaded.

Any advice?

Make sure your SD card isn't full. Downloads are saved to a folder on the SD card called download. Also (though unlikely) make sure your SD card isn't in removal mode.

Check free space:
Settings / SD Card & Phone Storage / SD card Available Space

Also under Available Space the Unmount SD Card option should be bold and Format SD Card should be grayed out. If they are reversed, do not press Format SD Card, simply reboot your Eris and this will correct the SD Card removal mode issue.
