If anyone starts getting an error when trying to update or download, stating error getting info from the server, the fix is easy.
Go to system settings
go to accounts and sync
delete your google account
when you open play store it will make you re-add it, and all will be fixed
And yes phone will resync all your contacts etc.
PS if google+ stops pulling info, it is for the same reason, this fixes it too
