Help Unable to install Google+

[romualdo]

Hi everyone,

I have Desire with official GB, and no new Market (or Google Play, as it is now). So, a few days ago I got an update notification for Google+, which is great, but I didn't have much storage on phone (which is normal for unrooted Desire), and app just wouldn't update.
So, foolish me uninstalled G+, and now I cannot install it anymore!
After download completes, and just when it starts an installation, I get an error "Download was unsuccessful. Please, try again.".

In the meantime, I uninstalled some more apps, and made 30MB available, which should be enough, but...

Does anyone have a clue what might help in this situation?

Reboot the phone?

Tried that already (actually, battery drained out, so phone turned itself off) but didn't help.

I tried with downloading .apk on my computer from another site, and put it on SD card, and install it "manually" from there - and it worked! (on the second try, though).

But now, G+ can't connect to server and force-closes
