Unable to navigate Recovery

Im trying to install a new ROM on my LG Lucid. Everything goes as planned till i get into the recovery screen with the blue letters.

Menu:
reboot system now
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache

Im able to navigate with the Vol +/- buttons but im unable to select any of the menu options. None of the buttons or screen work to select anything. Please help.

Lg Lucid Ver: 4.0.4
Software: VS840ZV8
CWM: v5.5.2.3

You should be able to use the power button to select the option.

I figured I'd ask, if you have Version 4.0.4, ZV8 (Ice Cream Sandwich) then how do you have CWM?
 
If your phone is working then by all means use it, I just thought that we could not use CWM on ICS because of the locked bootloader. Might I ask how you installed it? Did you just use Rom Manager while on ZV8?

For that, with the phone powered off plug it in to USB, it should show the charging screen. From there hold volume up and volume down and press power to turn on the phone. Keep holding the buttons until your phone says download mode. Also, make sure the USB cable is plugged in to both a PC and your phone and that the cable is working. I had a cable that was loose and it wouldn't let me get to download mode, I had to use a new cable.
 
So i reverted Back to GB. CWM Would not download the latest version of the recovery manager for my Lucid. So i updated it back to freaking ICS and once again. In Recovery manager i cannot select anything.

it seems that u are using android system recovery instead of cwm because cwm should have advanced options install zip from sdcard, mounts and storage and backup and restore
 
Ok So i found an ICS rooter for the LG AND IT WORKED. Now i think i ran into the Blue Screen equivalent for the LG. I got the "Long time no see" error when trying to get into the recovery. Does that mean there a like Bootlocker on the phone or something?

Update...
Ok so i unrooted my phone in ICS. Then i downgraded back to a fresh GB. Then rooted again using the one click root for GB. Success. Then i had to hard reset because my phone wouldnt connect to VZW or activate Wi-Fi. Success. Then i put it into Air Plane mode so it wouldnt software update and downloaded CWM and Recovery then flashed. Success. I went into recovery manager and installed the ROM Cyanogenmod 10 I had reviewed it much and it looked like a great ROM. So i went to install and Success. Freaking THANK you everyone.
 
OMFG Cyanogemmod sucks hardcore. Cant get google play to run on it at all. None of my contacts were updated. BrokenOne or whatever its call MOD looks sexy as hell but when i flash it it goes into a boot loop even with the Bootloopfix.zip. I cleared data and something else i cant remember. Any MOD's out there for the Lucid that anyone know of that actually work?

CyanogenMOD works fine for everyone but you. Looks like your SOL.

Yes I know, same happened to me. Only the bootloader of Gingerbread works properly for CWM, I do not know why, but it just does.
