Root Unable to power down phone, do factory reset after using Gingerbreak

I rooted my Triumph using Gingerbreak, then removed some of the Virgin Mobile garbage apps (WHERE, Poynt, AirG Chat, Twidroid). I also removed the stupid Virgin Mobile boot up song and animation. Now I want to give this phone to a friend, but I can't do a factory reset to get all my Google user info off of it. It also won't power down for some reason since I rooted it. I un-rooted it, thinking that might help, but so far nothing. What do I do?

id suggest taking out the battery and entering recovery if you have clockwork recovery installed restore a stock nandroid

also why would you give away this awesome phone? i can understand selling it but just giving it away come on

I have a Photon now; I was using my BF's Triumph while my Sprint phone was on Seasonal Standby. The slow data speeds and generally poor performance of the Triumph (compared to my Photon) have aggravated me to the point that I turned my Sprint phone back on. I want to give the phone back to my BF so he can stop using his crappy Optimus V.

I never did a backup on the phone before I rooted it; I didn't know I was supposed to. Am I totally screwed now? Do I need to re-root it to do all that stuff you said in the last post?
