Unable to reset my Xperia

Heya, I was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem I'm facing on my Xperia.

I forgot my pin code and so I have to reset the phone, but I am unable to do so;

The hardware button combinations dont work, tried holding power + volume down/up (and both) during startup.

Tried to enter *#*#7378423#*#* on the emergency dial to get into the system menu but it didnt work, nothing happens when i type that combination.

Any feedback is much appreciated!

There are a number of models of Xperia phones. If you tell us what model of phone you are using we will move your question to the forum where it is discussed.

I am not sure exactly which model it is to be honest..
But I think it might be a Sony Xperia M2 or a similar model as it looks almost identical.

Log into Android Device Manager and use the "Lock" option to reset the lockscreen password.

Thanks Slug, but it doesn't seem to work for me, I just get an error...

might just have to bring it back to the store and see if they can do something with it unless you have something else I can try?
