Help SOLVED Unable to restore home screen digital clock & date

Honor X6b, Android 14. Somehow I have deleted the home screen text-based clock and date. There are no widgets in this phone. The home screen doesn't respond to double-taps, just squeezing two fingers which bring up the screen as shown here. I was able to add that little clock, but it's not the same. The main Clock app has no Settings; the phone's main Settings>Display has no Clock to set up. How might I restore that nice big text clock and date?

have you tried just going into your phone's setting and doing a search for clock? or have you checked for a clock app in your app drawer?

Yes, I have searched. The main Clock app shows the digital clock that has vanished from the Home screen but I can see no way to place it there.

what about a search for lock screen settings? i have one on my s25 ultra. it has an option to edit the clock on the lock screen.

The lock screen is fine - it has a digital clock. It is the home screen that has lost it.

ahhhh i see. have you looked under widgets? if not you can always download a clock widget app from the play store. there are tons of them and most are highly customizable as well.

No widgets on my Honor phone, sorry. I've added a clock to the home screen, it's just not the original digital one. Not to worry, worse things happen at sea!

Not mine. I have to place two fingers on the screen and bring them together. That produces what I attached as a screenshot above.

I've not seen that but it doesn't really help. The Clock on the list of apps is not the original digital clock but similar to the one you can see on my screenshot above. I'm pleased you found that video, though!
