Root Unable to root help pls <noob>

i have 2.3.3 GB and 2.15 baseband version

i factory reset, wiped anre formatted SD card, downloaded the file for the root of the SD card, downloaded Revolutionary S-off and ran it and i have usb debugging on and set to charge only with it plugged in i run revoluationary and it sais waiting for device...... HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE been waiting 10mins and nothing i have a reformatted PC recently dont have and windows firewall and public networks disabled. not doing anything Please help

Where are you in the root process? Do you have the desktop file? Did you get to the beta key part?

Also did you install the htc drivers to your pc? If not here is the link

First off welcome to the forums.

What operating system do you have(Windows, Mac OS, Linux)? Also make sure you have the HTC drivers, and that you uninstall HTC sync if you have it as well as any other program that communicates with your phone such as doubletwist. It should only take 5 min at the most.

Also you my want to check the rooting for dummies guide posted earlier.
