Help 'Unable to send message' repeatedly beeping

Hi everyone,

Ive searched for an answer to this problem so hopefully someone can help!

My HTC is working great, but whenever I try to send a text and there is no signal, the phone starts repeatedly beeping saying with the message' unable to send message'. It doesnt just beep once, but does it a few times. Its quite embarassing when it happens in public as I dont know how to switch off this notification! I hope someone can help!

Are you using Handcent? If yes, there is the option to turn this off.
