Help Unable to Setup Skype

[pilcomex]

Dear friends please help me. I am trying to install Skype on my HTC Desire (2.2), Firstly Skype is not available on my Market, I tried direct from Download Skype for your mobile and on download link while choosing Device it says "This item is not available on your carrier". I will really appreciate if someone can help me out. Regards

Well, you have the answer. Your carrier doesn't support it. I may be wrong but I think rooting is your only option.

Anyone?

Thanks 'Widehead' for ur reply. I was thinking probably my carrier+phone are linked to my google account, maybe thats what is stopping it to install. As I travel alot, so i badly need Skype on my cell. Is there anyway I can use my Laptop to manually install it on my phone?
