Help Unable to update ALL apps on SD card

as the title says im on the Optimus V and have about 107 apps most of which are on the SD card. with the exception of a few with widgets i use.

for a while now ive been getting the update notifications (aside from the obviously getting no updates at all)

and when i tap to look at the list it brings up the android market and my list of apps but only shows a few...like say 17....some of which are on the phone others on the SD card but doesn't show ANY updates.

i know for a fact about every app i have has an update because none of them have updated in months

I read elsewhere on the forums about digging into the .android.secure folder on the computer and deleting a certain ASCF or whatever type file but i dont have the file this user said should be there.

if this makes any difference i have 1 app that i had to manually install because it was removed from the market but otherwise i cant think of any way or reason as to why my apps wont update!! please help

Sorry to ask the obvious as you didn't state that you have, but do these apps have the "auto update" box ticked from within the Market app?

You can try clearing the Cache and the Data for the Market (Settings-Applications-Manage Applications-All... locate the Market and tap on it).

If you are not rooted/rommed:
If that does not work, uninstall the Market (it doesn't completely uninstall. It only removes the updates). Then run the Market app, accept the terms, close it. Run it a few times until it fully updates and you see the familiar new updated Market.

If you are rooted you'll need to post up in the OpV rooted forum area.

but i fear this will just happen again do you happen to know what causes this by chance?

i try and make sure all the apps have auto update turned OFF as im a big geek myself and like reviewing the change-log and whats been added/changed what not so i usually do the "my apps" and let it find the updates that are available
