Help unable to update P500 from V10B to V10E

hi all,
last week i bought LG optimus one, I still dont know many of its features and settings, but had used Xperia x10 from one of my relatives, so I am familiar with andriod.

I connected my moblie to PC to check for softwares. after some searching i found the LG PC suite IV ( today only i came to know that it was already in memory card from manufacturers). then i installed it and started PC suite, there i checked for mobile firmware update and it showed the new firmware available, I started the update process which took some 15 minutes to download 145 MB file, after which the update process started. I followed every instuction carefully. but while updating i noticed that even after some 20 minutes, the update was still 4%.

I tried again but the same thing happened. I searched google and found one similar problem but i was unable to get the solution.

is there anyone who can tell me what I should do to update it.

also I would like to know, how to set the wallpaper. I have some wallpaper which has resolution 240* 320. but whenever i try to set it as wallpaper, i am provided with a clipping tool, what is the default wallpaper size?

Thanks

Same thing happened with me, i was trying to upgrade from v10B to v10C. Now, the update notification tool on the phone says there's an update available(v10C) but on connecting phone to PC Suite, it says no update available. Tried various things like clearing cache n all but it gives the same thing.

Regarding Wallpaper, use wallpapers with resolution such as 640x480, then you can make clipping tool to cover whole of the wallpaper. There's no way to avoid the clipping thing if you want to change wallpaper the conventional way.

i got my solution from xda developers forum, the problem i was getting was because of the various ports created by lg modem and other application. i closed all the ports except the serial port and the usb port and then installed it.

very happy to see the new version, though i dont see any major changes in it from the previous version, only the two lg applications.

and for the wallpapers, i am using the wallpapers which i had for my PC, i am using it as it is, without any clipping and it is working fine.
