Help Unable to Update to 2.3 Gingerbread

I downloaded this update(2.3 Gingerbread) on my HTC Desire HD but when I say install it just says shutting down phone and when it restarts the update is not installed and again it asks to install the update. I tried number of times to install update but end up just restarting phone.
has anybody else faced this? Please help.

Are you rooted? Have you uninstalled any of the apps that were on the phone when you bought it?

Yep, same problem. Stock ROM with Orange branding. It might be a bad block on the sdcard, so I'll try tonight with another one. Here's the output when i use power+vol. up:http://photo-hosting.winsoftmagic.com/1/0vradaabcz.jpg
