Unbrand Hero Guide

Apologies for this post a i know there is a guide here somewhere,

Months ago i downloaded a guide that would let me unbrand my hero so that i could upgrade it easily. Its on Tmobile & every time i try to do the upgrade it fails with the exclamation mark.

Ive searched for the guide i used on a previous hero but cannot find it

can someone please point me in the right direction so i can unbrand this handset please

On my phone right now, but if you check out the guide sticky at the top of this section I think its in there.

EDIT: I was wrong, it isn't in there, but here it is:

But strictly this shouldn't be necessary as T-Mobile have released the 2.1 update, which would be better for your friend's phone. I know this has come up before, I'll see if we have any proper solutions.

thanks I thought i was being stupid when i couldnt find it myself.

I think i had this issue with my hero when i 1st did the update too

Ill give the unbrand a go & see what happens
