I got this phone for free from a friend, but I'm stuck on the recovery screen. I have opined, flashed and rooted the indulge and admire, so I have basic knowledge of what to do. The thing is I can use the volume. keys to scroll up and down in recovery, but can't get it to select a option. It also says something about trying to install update. zip to sd card and e:can't mount something. my pc recognizes the phone also. what I'm trying to ask is what programs to install to Odin it or whatever? I've looked at a few things, but it seems the guides are different. this is a boost phone. Thanks ahead of time.

Can I get a little more of a explained quick guide? Just some quick steps and program links? Thanks in advance, and while I await a possible answer, Im going to start trying from what Ive seen in the meantime.
 
I am documenting my ventures through this, just to let yall know how much I need this to work for me. That being said, is there anyway of merging my post and Ill use edit from now on?
1:I have a lg motion and drivers are installed for my motion, but i installed the drivers for marquee too. I dont know if they are conflicting, but I wouldn't think so because of both being LG and I would believe that these drivers are somewhat compatible.
2:The phone comes on when battery is inserted or connected to PC
3:I have took battery out and plugged in to PC and entered download mode and tried the cwm touch script. It says ignite on top of cmd window? Anyhow, it started dameon successfully ,but that's as far as that went. I have also tried this while it booted to screen attachment in post 2 i think it was.
4:I have Odin3_v1.85, but it doesnt take kdz which I have LS855ZV9_11.S9_00.P60680.kdz I could use some steps on this if it will help me.
Im not quite sure what to do with adb, but i have it on pc and dont know the commands ect.
Well, off to go read some more and explore other options and hope for the best. Overall I cant get the current recovery to select my option and Im hoping that the touch screen has not gone on it resulting in not being able to use the menu button for the select button.
 
Yes i have tried to unbrick in download mode, but it never reboots. Im not sure im doing it correctly though.

You need the drivers, KDZ program, firmware converted to KDZ (if not already).

1) phone in download mode and connected to PC.
2) phone mode in CDMA
3) type: emergency (maybe try CS_emergency)
4) launch software update


Is msxml.msi installed?

That is about how ive been doing and yea msxml is installed. But i get the error.shown in log and the.parm errors. Ill run again and take screenshot.
 
Also i heard windows 7 maybe problem. Is there a way to do it off virtual pc or xp mode? How do i uninstall all mobile drivers and install correct ones?
 
Creating new partition on laptop then gonna give it a go. ;-) i am willing to use teamviewer also if someone wants to help that way. See i want to get this phone working for my wife. Currently she has the xprt and it is running horribly
 
Cant as of now, cause wife wants to watch a show on the pc. I hope you will offer to teamview another time please.
