Help Uncontrollable Volume

Hello guys! I'm really frustrated because my phone randomly unmutes or goes into vibrate. I'm pretty new to android, although I love computers. I usually have my phone muted from 8 until 3, and at night. Sometimes during the night, I've noticed that a few notifications will get through and make noise. I'm sure that I have the phone on mute, but when I check the volume, it says that after the notifications have gone off, the volume is all the way up. Please help! I haven't found anything like this online. Thanks

Welcome to Android Forums.

My suspicion is that you added an app that is causing the problem(s).

Try running in Safe Mode (disabling all apps you added without installing them). If the problems stop they are caused by an app that you added.
