Root Undervolting Evo V

Does anyone know of a way to under volt the Evo V other than by using Kernel Tuner? It can be an app or a script. I have tried many things that show they are altering voltage in images on Play, but when I install on my phone, that interface is not available.

I believe System Tuner has that option as well.

Mac kernel does not allow undervolting. Anthrax and butter toast kernels do.

That's interesting because when using Kernel Tuner with Mac the voltage adjustment interface is active and appears to take changes in settings. Is it a placebo? Of course this may explain why I am not getting anywhere on this issue.

It appears that Antutu CPU Master will control voltages for Mac kernel. Noting the default voltages displayed here for Mac as compared to the default voltages displayed for Anthrax
in System Tuner, Mac runs at lower voltages, as much as 50 mv lower. I am a bit wary of System Tuner because it tries to do too much.

You can just get butter toast kernel from xda and flash that. It's better than and a gpl compliant anthrax and I think it's better than mac after using all of them. ;)

The Mac kernel from developer might have already undervolted it a little bit so noobs won't crash or undervolt wrong.

Yeah ButterToast plus Kernel Tuner will allow you to undervolt. I think it's a waste of time though since UV'n has never really yielded any results for me on any android device I've ever owned.

For me they do :D.

Not all chips are created equal and they have a difference in battery.

Well, the voltages are lower on Mac than Anthrax, and I can tell the difference in phone temperature as well. As for what or who makes a better kernel, that is harder to answer. The developer of the Midnight roms definitely prefers Mac.

Edit:
It may be that Antutu CPU Master only displays voltages. I was unable to get lowered voltages to stick with Mac kernel.
