Help undo ota update?

is there a way to undo the ota update that came out a few days ago? i can care less about rooting my phone but ever since i did the update it takes forever for my phone to dial out, which is weird because it seemed like a few people said the update improved this. i never had a lag problem while having my phone dial out until i did the ota update so if possible i would like to undo it...thanks in advance

I believe you can but I think you have to reload the 2.1 update and will loose all your info as it will reset everything, correct me if I am wrong anyone

right. Simply download the .5 RUU and run it, and it'll completely reset everything in your phone, but you'll be back to the original 2.1 update, rather than the .6 version

Thank you I'll try your guys suggestions tomorrow... with all these issues sometimes I miss my Nokia 6300, but I don't think I can ever go back to a regular cell phone

Quick question for those with rooted 2.1:

Have you also experienced a lag when dialing out?

I have not rooted but have read many threads and the lag is much less, but there is a small lag

Ok i did an update for my droid moterolla. It changed every aspect of my phone. It also gratly degraded my 3g and erased my market app so they sent me a replacement phone with the update on it. Does any one know how to undue the update? By the way the lag is so bad it took me 30 min to load this page when i have 3 g

I hate to say this, but this is the Sprint HTC Hero forum, not the Verizon Motorola Droid forum, which is here: Motorola Droid - Android Forums

I am sure the folks in that section of these forums can help you out with your problem. I wish you good luck.
