Unfortunately, Contacts has stopped

Hi

Running build 14.3.A.0.757 on a branded Three Ireland Sony Xperia Z1.

When I try to edit a contact I get "Unfortunately, Contacts has stopped". When I click the Ok button I return to the contacts list.

All my contacts all Google.

Any ideas?

I will engage my 2nd brain (Google) and see if I can find similar threads on the interweb.

Edit1. Tried clearing data & cache from Contacts app and re-syncing my contacts....no luck.

Tried the following

1. For Contacts app, cleared data & cache.
2. Disabled the Contacts app.
3. Shutdown & restarted the phone.
4. Contacts re-synced, no issues now when editing contacts.

Worked for about 30 mins.

Now it's stopped working again..any ideas guys?

Rebooted the phone in Safe Mode. Issue was not present, seems ok.

Rebooted phone as normal (no Safe Mode). Issue is no longer present.

Will monitor this.

I wonder if it's just a quirk of the .757 update?

You've done all I would normally suggest, you might back everything up and try a factory reset?

Hmm hate factory resets. It's not stopping me doing anything else so I might hold off and see if the .761 release will fix it (that's if I get it).

No.

It's only a minor issue nothing to make me stop using the phone.

Had a fairly similar issue as in i can't edit contacts pictures when using the phone, tried all the usual but no joy.... So now edit on the pc, like you am waiting for the new update to see if that helps.
