Help Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped

I'm getting this message after force stopping framework in order to get the KK update. Good news it worked. I received the KK update but now I'm getting this error at boot up.

I've tried force stopping, clear data, clear cache on a bunch of the google apps but no luck. Almost all the google apps in the app drawer are showing a date of 12/31/1969. Even a factory reset doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Not sure if related, but I'm currently having Google sync errors right now. Particularly with contacts. And I'm still on 4.2.2 having done nothing new to my phone for a long time. Have also had a high rate of battery drain today and I believe it may be connected. :dontknow:

I'm seeing the same message on boot, running stock 4.4.2 on T-Mobile, but, not experiencing any ill effects from it.

Any recently disabled apps may cause this. Go into settings of your device > application manager > All > at the bottom of the list enable any recently disabled apps.

Last night I downloaded an update for Swiftkey, rebooted the phone and the google ap error did not pop up. If you are using, or have downloaded Swiftkey, look for an update in the Play store. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

I downloaded the latest update too and STILL got the error when I activated the keyboard as default.

*Update*

I wasn't using swiftkey but rather the Google keyboard. I cleared data and cache on the Google keyboard and that fixed the error.

My phone is back working fine once again but I'm still confused. Why in the world do the majority of Google apps and some LG apps show a date of 12/31/1969 in the application manager? I know from a simple search it's something to do with the way Unix handles dates but I'm pretty sure they shouldn't read this way? I think...

OP, this is why clearing the frameworks is not recommended. It can, and likely will cause a few hiccups. I believe that your app dates will sort themselves out eventually, but it might take a little bit.

I get this pop up box every time my device it booted up, Strange thing is my G2 runs fine.

Same, I get the pop up:

"Unfortunately the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped."

Every time I boot up my LG G3

I googled it only to find its common with many brands of phones. I've spent hours trying every suggested fix without any resolution.

I'm not running Swiftkey, plus after a full factory reset, then adding my gmail account and no other apps it does it. Other than the annoying error message all functions fine, but that popup sure bothers me.

Any ideas?

I'm running the Google Keyboard, yes I've cleared data & cache, it's very puzzling.

Its the Google keyboard that's causing it. I just had the same thing and switching to the LG keyboard solves it. That said, I don't really want to use the LG one because the keys are a little small for my tastes but I'm at least confident we've found the cause.

Honestly as long as it doesn't ill affect anything, I suppose it's not a huge deal.

I get the same thing on boot when using the google keyboard on this G3 ROM so I uninstalled that keyboard. I don't think it impacts anything save for having to close the FC notification the one time at boot. I'm going back to the google keyboard as the 'material' color scheme REALLY works well with the look of the G3 software!

I have the G3 and been having the same issue. You guys finally helped me figure out it was Google keyboard. If I disabled it, the error went away. I recalled recently installing an update for it. So I completely uninstalled google keyboard using an app called 'uninstall', rebooted, and then reinstalled the stock google keyboard APK. No more error.

The play store shows I have an update now, but I'll let it go for now as I'd rather not see the error when I reboot the phone.

Thanks everyone.
