I searched the forums but couldn't find my answer, so i am posting. I am looking to find out how to uninstall the apps that came with my htc evo. Like Friend stream and bookmarks. and other apps i will never use to free up some memory. It i go to settings > application . there is no where to remove app

I'm having the same issue with all the Sprint apps. I've no interest in Nascar, football, or the Sprint Navigation, yet I can't get rid of em. Blah.

I understand you must root the device to be able to do this. Not that I can do this or even know precisely what it means!!
