Help Uninstall recent update?

KHarper

Lurker
I recently (like, very late May or very early June 2011) got a notification on my Sprint HTC Evo that a system update was available. I went ahead and installed it. I'm not impressed by any alleged improvements, and now don't have "call duration" showing up in my call history like it used to. Is there a way to uninstall this update and revert to the previous version? (My phone shows it has Android ver. 2.3.3, build 4.22.651.2)

Unless your very experienced I would say no its not really possible. There have been many discussions on this topic. I can't explain the exact procedure to you as it's different for all phones but it would involve rooting and flashing your phone. Alot can go wrong. I would just learn to live with 2.3 and hope an update comes out soon that resolves your problem. :(

Your pretty much stuck with it. Rooting is your only next option and that will take a bit more time as they try to unlock the hboot secrot.
