Help Uninstallable (Cr)app from timothymilla

IanB

Newbie
Hi everyone,
Just received a notification of two updates available for my DHD on Google Play Store: Evernote & Evernote Widget. Download both and suddenly, without notification and permission, I find a program by "timothymilla" with NO description and NO way to remove it.
Any ideas about what is happening?
What is Google up to?
Who/what is this "timothymilla"?
And, most importantly, how can I remove this junk /Cr*p from my DHD?
Thanks in advance,
IAn

It's apparently the app Teeter which comes pre installed on all HTC handsets by all accounts.

I couldn't find much info on why it's been renamed, but it's thought there's just been a silly glitch somewhere. I'd advise not opening though, just in case it's something more sinister.

I'd noticed the same thing on my phone. If you look at the comments users have added on the app's page, you'll see that they're all agreeing with El Pres. It's daft that the app is unnamed in the Play Store, but it doesn't seem to be a cause for concern.

Ever since I updated from the very original Google Market, the apps which the market lists as being on my phone hasn't been a complete list of the things I've downloaded and installed, so I'm just seeing this issue as a part of that confusion. About a month ago, my apps list in the Play Store increased by about twenty, with several wanting to be upgraded. This stayed stable for a few days, then dropped down again. A few days ago, at about the same time as this timothymilla app appeared, the Play Store jumped my app count up by six. I've developed a very Gallic shrug as a result of all this!

The program disappeared from my phone yesterday. I supposed Google had something to do with it. Problem solved!
Bye
