Root universal androot for froyo?

[novemberwhiskey]

are they making a universal androot for froyo DXs?

I read on the SuperOneClick site (same people that made androot) that there is a fix in froyo that blocks them from making an app for rooting.

I can't get the super one click method to work. When I press "root" it just hangs at "running ..."

When you connect the usb, does the little screen pop up for pictures and all that crap? If not then try installing the MOTO drivers. That was my problem. VZW page came up but I still wasn't fully connected.

Yeah. I have the drivers installed. Everything works, but it just ends up hanging at a certain point in the process.

I had to reinstall the latest Moto 4.7.1 drivers when I updated to Froyo.
