Accessories Universal Car Docks

[MegaFiendDX]

Anyone recommend a quality car dock for the DX? I do construction and have a siedio rugged case, so the OEM one isn't an option.

I've seen a few universal clamp style mounts.. some look better than others. Just looking for feedback on good ones so my phone isn't laying in the floor of the truck every five minutes.

thanks

I use this on my bicycle - and I trust it. It is fully adjustable for tension and leaves the camera unobstructed if you want to dash cam it.

Check the accessories forum. I have an akron mount from amazon and it works well.

I don't see what people have against the Motorola car dock designed for the Droid X. Mine works great (I have it sucktioned to the windshield - never falls off).

Biggest grief is that you can't use a cover on the X with the Motorola dock. I found out the hard way when I bought the dock when the X first came out. A universal dock, while not as sexy, does the job for me without having to pop off/pop on my phone cover.

Precisely why I went to a universal mount after having already purchased the OEM Motorola one. I also use the Arkon Mega Grip and love it. it can be mounted in a variety of ways and is very secure...and very reasonably priced.
