Help Unknown data symbol in status bar

[mkmcgregor]

I know that it's related to cellular data transfer, because it only appears when Wifi is off. The symbol is not in any phone documentation that I have found.

I'm running the Android 2.1 upgrade.

The status bar symbol has an H on top with up/down arrows underneath. It's not the E, G, or 3G symbols that are in the latest manual.

Any info would be appreciated!

H is 3.5g so better and faster than 3g. It stands for High Speed Downlink Packets or something along those lines.

H stands for HSDPA
E for EDGE
G for GPRS

HSDPA is the fastest of them.
