Unknown Icon in Notification Bar

[justreno1]

I'm new to Android and I've searched unknown Icons and I can not find a description for the one that is in my notification bar... Yes I did read the manual. The icon is to the left of the GPS and the best description I can give is that it looks like an ear/audio jack with (( next to it.

Thanks in advance

Which phone? I would say you have your earphones in.
