Help unknown network

just bought the g3 at tmobile and everything works fine accept for receiving texts. i checked everywhere and cant find why. i looked in the about phone-network section, network says unknown, mobile type says unknown, radio off, and mobile state disconnected. how is all that possible when i have a sim card installed, i am able to make phone calls, and go on the net. anyway main point is i cant receive texts.

I just had a customer in my store with this issue today (although on at&t and using an old GSII Skyrocket). Her issue couldn't be resolved with a new sim, new ota's, re-provisioning of her plan or anything. We ended up fixing it by putting her sim card in a different phone, waiting for a text to come in, and then putting her sim card back in to the GSII Sky... two minutes later, all of her texts started flooding in, and after they all filtered in, my test messages to her and our test text system all returned immediately. Strangest thing ever. So if you have another phone that you can pop a micro sim in to, try that. Don't know if it will help, but it's worth a try.

Fixed it. All i did was take out my sim card and reinstalled it
