Unknown suggested words

Lurker
My wife is having unfounded suspicions that is causing lot of stress.
I have words in my Samsung S4 keyboard suggested words that I have used in texts or emails but also some that I have NEVER typed.
I do not use any type of social media, only email and texts.
Where do these words come from?
Also my browser history periodically shows web addresses that I have not visited. How does this happen? Related? Causing a problem also.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're using Chrome and have an account logged in it will log all of your device history as well as any other device linked to that account, so if I frequently visit reddit: the front page of the internet, it will show up in my phone browser when I start to search for it, even if I have never visited it before on my phone.

Otherwise you might want to download malwarebytes on your phone, it's a decent malware app and will remove anything suspicious from your device.

Some keyboard apps read through all your texts and emails for autocomplete suggestions. I don't know whether it distinguishes between sent (which you have written) and received emails, which might include spam (which you haven't written and which might include inappropriate language that you wouldn't write).

You should also remember that Chrome will remember the history of any device logged in under your name so if you have let someone else use one of your devices, it would remember what they browsed as well.

I second Digital Controller's suggestion about malware scanning. A lot of malware directs victims towards the sort of sites of which one's wife might reasonably not approve (e.g. porn).

Thanks for the responses so far.
Why would the words only show on my phone and not on the tablet that it is shared with, assuming that is where the word originated from?
