Ima new to the android world, I had a iphone and hated it. Now I have a samsung captivate and I love it. I herd of the side app loader wonder machine but I cant find the driver for my phone when I hook it up to my computer. Where can I download the driver for my phone and get the sideloader to work on my phone. Thanks

Depends on your OS - if you are running win 7 64 bit or XP 64 then you choose the one with 64. If you are running XP or 7 without the 64 then you choose the 32. If unsure, choose the one with 32 in the name.

One more thing when i hook my captivate up tp my computer it does not ask to download driver or install driver. How do I add the driver to my phone or get it to work with my phone for the sideloader machine?

Not sure im reading your question correctly, please clarify if im wrong. You dont add the drivers to your phone. Just install the drivers for your system from the links I provided above. Turn usb debugging on, (settings-applications-development-usb debugging) and plug your phone into your computer. Should be set to go.

Yea I downloaded the drivers and installed it and they work thanks. Now my only problem usa how do I get the apks or where so I download then from . Also with the wonder machine does that allow you to get apps from anywhere and download anything?
 
Just do a google search for whichever apk app you want, download to your desktop and with phone connected, open the wonder machine and point it to your apk file and just follow the directions.

can only back up your phone with nandroids..something that is done through rooting. once you have rooted your phone, you can go to your recovery screen and make a nandroid and back it up as well in case something goes wrong

Ok so I rooted my phone and downloaded some rooted apps from the market place. My question is, am I now supposed to delete some files off of my phone to allow me to just download all 3rd party apps or do I have to do this through the "cmd' everytime I want a 3rd party app?:confused:
