Unlock Aria

Hello, new here just bought an Aria and I need to unlock it for a trip to Israel. I have the code but it doe's not prompt me to input it when turned on sans sim card. Anyone know the right procedure? How can I bring up the keyboard, when turned on it displays no sim insert sim. Do I need to insert a sim from a provider other than AT&T to get the prompt? Thanks. Craig B

The process I followed as directed by ATT customer service is as follows:

1. insert foreign SIM
2. power on (SIM is read, prompt appears)
3. enter code
4. push OK


You have a maximum of 5 tries to enter the correct code. This procedure worked for me using a SIM from Southeast Asia.



If you don't have a foreign SIM, you may want to try this process with a SIM from another US carrier other than ATT and attempt the unlock before leaving for your trip.
