Root Unlock Bootloader Mission

All the new frenzy about the lte2rocovery.apk is nice. I personally find the most valuable thing to come out of it is the ability to easily backup and restore your system.

But I'd like to take a step back and remind everyone about the bootloader. Themed roms and second init loaders for LG may come, and they may be great, but they will never be as good as directly replacing your system with CyanogenMod (or other rom of choice).

So I'm asking that we don't let all the efforts made so far just pass us by for a half solution. Let's keep some work going on the bootloader and get that thing unlocked.

please dont take this the wrong way as its not intended to be an attack... but what efforts?

last i knew it was just taking aboot from other devices and flashing it to the motion and hoping its unlocked and will boot

there is a typo in the LG MOTION 4G advertizement in the bottom of this thread.
If your talking about how i says 1.2Ghz processor they probably got it from the metro website. But it also says it has a qHD display which were the rumors @1st metro probabl downgraded it to make it cheaper

i was talking about this line "you have beend reaming"

Are we any closer....im keeping up to date with this and no definitive answer....what is the status of this bootloader

Is it possible to have a 2nd init kernel/bootloader? Leave the original intact on storage, but have 2nd init start running our bootloader/kernel and kill the original one, or replace it in RAM, like we do for 2nd init roms?

Our roms don't touch the bootloader/kernel they merely replace the system folder maintaining the 2nd int script. I would say this is most likely not possible without a heavily modified kernel working togother with the stock kernel, perhaps stored on a SD card. Odds are its not happening however I am no 2nd int pro either....
