Help Unlock phone after getting the code from tmobile

HI, I'm going to Europe in a month and called t-mobile to get the unlock code. Just got the email but it states that I need to insert a NON t-mobile SIM first before unlocking with the number they send me. I was able to unlock my earlier Galaxy S by just entering the code.

My concern is that IF this does not work, I will be stuck having to contact t-mobile from Europe.

Is there a trick to unlock with the code they gave me with out the non t-mobile card?

Hi darius,

Do you have a buddy with an AT&T sim? That would do the trick, because as soon as it recognized the non-T-mobile sim it would prompt you for the unlock code and you'd be unlocked in a second.
