Help Unlocked ATT Note 2 on Straight Talk update

I have an unlocked Note 2 ATT phone using service from Straight Talk. Today there was an ATT update and now my phone doesn't connect to the internet unless I'm on wifi. How can I fix this?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

Thanks. Would that affect being on a different carrier than ATT? How would I go about that? I'm a newbie so not sure how to do this.

You can wipe cache, dalvik cache, data.
It could very well fix it and it can't hurt.
In order to enter recovery mode, you will first have to turn off your device. Once it’s turned off, press volume up + power button + home button simultaneously and keep them pressed until you see the recovery mode.

Before doing a reset, have you tried doing a physical reboot first ??

I think the update may have cleared your APN(Access Point Name) settings. Just call Straight Talk customer service or they may direct you to AT&T. This happens often with updates. Your phone is not configured to use the Straight Talk/AT&T towers. Write these settings down. It will save you some time in the future. Good luck.

First make sure your radio is on. Go to menu>settings>wireless & networks>mobile networks and make sure 'data enabled' is checked. You should also see the 3G/4G/LTE icon in your notification bar. If you see all that, then I think ndex477 is correct. Your APN settings are incorrect.

Here are the correct settings:

Name: Straight Talk
APN: tfdata
Proxy: proxy.mvno.tracfone.com
Port: <Leave in Blank>
Username: <Leave in Blank>
Password: <Leave in Blank>
Server: <Leave in Blank>
MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
MMS proxy: mms3.tracfone.com
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: <Leave in Blank>
APN type: default,supl,mms
APN Protocol: Leave it to the Default one

I hv a note 2 thats unlocked for any carrier,. I was with Verizon and I went to straight talk. I used the settings you hv listed above and it works fine however I cant receive mms bot I cqn send them. Any solution for this? Thanks.

The mms address in your phone is wrong.

I dont know where it is
Or what the right one is
But this is whats wrong.

Gosms is a quick fix, it uses its own mms address, so just find the right one and use gosms. (Menu to change mms address)
