Unlocked Bootloader Petition

I saw this on the HTC Facebook page earlier. ALL the comments on that HTC page say 'unlock the bootloader' - People really care about this stuff and so do i

Not rooted yet, but I will someday, and I fundamentally believe that hardware I purchase is mine to do with as I choose.

Agreed that's the main reason why I hate Apple, and would NEVER own an iPhone.

It doesn't stop there. I work in IT. Macs. easy to use, but about as configurable as a ballcock. No registry access? Whose idea was that?!
 
I signed it, I also agree its my phone, I should be able to do what I like with it
 
Just read it on official HTC Facebook page:

"There has been overwhelmingly customer feedback that people want access to open bootloaders on HTC phones. I want you to know that we've listened. Today, I'm confirming we will no longer be locking the bootloaders on our devices. Thanks for your passion, support and patience," Peter Chou, CEO of HTC

Yes, the result of the pressure from competition and user community has produced the desired result. This is a good day. :)
