Help Unlocked Samsung Infuse 4g Gophphone?

Hi, I wanted to know if it's possible to use an unlocked 4g phone, like the Infuse, on AT&T's Gophone plan (which I believe is only 3g). Will I only be able to do calls/ texts? Will the data plan still work?

Try talking to an ATT rep, if they give you a crap answer like do not unlock it then screw them lol. It should work though, because I am pretty sure Go-phone is on the same bands as regular att. Try asking though. Just asking you, are you sure you would pay $450 instead of just 300 for a captivate?

Thanks, yeah I don't know a lot about the captivate. I was drawn to the Infuse's camera and apparently faster processor. Are they that much different?

No, not really just the processor, screen size, and camera thats it. Oh wait and 4g capability.

the sim should work, text and voice siould work, there might be certain data issues but, I doubt it. It wohld work for me, just find a nice wifi spot.

I did just that. Payed $20 for the unlock code. Bought the $19.99 gophone with sim. Put the sim directly into my infuse and was in business. Do not put the sim in the gophone first. The sim locks to the first IMEI number you put it in. If you buy the $50 talk/text plan, you can add data. The sim has all of the APN settings already. Didn't have to configure a thing.
