Help Unlocked screen using volume rockers

just installed Widget Locker (dont know if this is how). i noticed that when i hit the volume rocker up or down, it unlocked the screen to the slide to unlock. but it only did it a couple times. seems like when i press the power button and within a few seconds i hit the volume, it would unlock it again.. back to the slide to unlock screen.

could someone help me figure out why it works sometimes and not all the time? again, not too sure the Widget Locker made this happen or not so try with and without.

maybe we found a way to get around the oddly placed power button!!!

Note: i have the no lock app activated. I also have the security pass or finger print off. I can wake the screen by tapping the volume rocker either up or down.

Is there a way to wake the phone using volume button.. but still locked.. i.e use fingerprint scan to unlock? Does widget locker support this feature?

More details on this app please. It's a pain to hit that little button on top of the phone whenever I want to wake it up.

One thing about the 'Droid market that drives me nuts is all the irrelevant apps that show up on any search. Try searching for the ebay app if you don't know what I mean about that.

Fantastic app, well worth the $1.99 :)

You can customize the unlock slider(s), add widgets to the lock screen, set wake up with volume, and all sorts of slick features.

Here's mine (from my Incipio case thread). I can go from lock directly to LED light, camera, SMS, plus access all my settings and status like battery/3G data/WiFi:

Sorry about the late response. I was on vacation and all the email alerts from this forum went to my spam folder.

Thanks for the info, I'll check into it more.

I have been using no lock from the app store and it works really well. You can wake the phone up using the volume rockers in either direction or the normal power button.

Ok that looks cool, is there a tutorial on how to change the display or does this widget do all of that for you? Sorry but I am new to droid outside of my work phone.

No-lock and Widgetlocker together are a great combination.

However recently when using the volume rockers to wake the phone, i get a 'ping' sound each time. This never used to happen. Any ideas how to turn this off ?

Settings -> Behavior -> Sound on Unlock is already set to Disabled.

Thanks!

That means it's not locked and you turned up the volume.

:)

Edit: that is to say, it's doesn't require a pin to get in, just an unlock.

Anyone know of other unlocks, i.e., not a slider? I know about 3.0 but we don't have that.
