Help Unlocking - codes?

Now that I have my HTC XL, (Orange contract) I am going to pass on my HTC Desire S to my daughter, she will be using a different server, I guess the next move will be to unlock the phone to enable her to use it. Any suggestions please? I have been reading about a number of unlocking companies on the internet, however I am a little unsure about them.

There are some services on this giffgaff page. I'm sure they wouldn't be there if they weren't legit. I can't recommend any as I've never used one. Orange charge
