Unlocking help

Hello everyone,

I have an Lg Esteem MS910 I have Metro PCS as a provider and switched to a different provider. I have been trying to unlock this phone with no luck. I can get to the hidden menu with a code I have found then it asks me for a service code the video I watched says to enter 000000 and your in I do that and it says wrong code.

So what I'm trying to do is unlock this esteem so I can use it with my new provider.

Does anyone know were I can get the service code or do you know it and how would I go about unlocking it.

Thank you so much for your help

Camble:)

I believe this topic was discussed some time ago. Nobody revealed how to do it, and I believe the final decision was that the new provider has to switch the phone over for you.

i believe its the spc code u mean which is easy to get just look behind the battery for the long number and enter it here on this website and hit convert it will give u the spc u need or go to settings then scroll down to about phone then select status at top then look at imei it should be a 14 digit number

MEID Converter - Free MEID and ESN conversion tool

it should give u a 6 digit spc code like this MetroPCS SPC 123456

That worked to get the code i needed. I Was able to unlock the phone. not Its telling me invalid sim am i missing a step??

like previous post said we never tried to unlock this phone to work with any other mobile service provider. i suggest u look up how to unlock the Lg revolution its the same phone we have just only its the verizon version so if u find a way to unlock the Lg revolution same method should work for this phone.....hopefully

Edit: wait are you trying to make this work on a non-cdma network like at&t,t-mobile,straight talk? if so not going to work our uicc card may seem like a normal sim card but infact its a different technology stands for universal integrated cercuit card not a sim card! metro's phones are hybrid although we run on cdma network our uicc gives us Lte. Sorry i just took my time reading your question hopefully you will understand.

OP could use it on straighttalk but, OP would have to break the law doing so.
I will leave that as is and not talk about it anymore but yeah, ST runs off gsm and cdma. Even if he was able to get it up and running on ST, OP would be w/o Lte cause ST doesn't offer Lte so wouldn't even be worth the hassle at least that's how I would feel. Whats the point of having a 4g Lte phone and not take advantage of the Lte? I guess if you could get good 3g that would kinda be worth it. If you are trying to go to VZW with an Esteem I would just sell it and get a Revolution. ;)
