Help Unlocking MPCS LG F3 with Metro code

[Travelguy2]

Hi...
New. so be kind. I have a code sent to me by MetroPCS to 'unlock' my LG F3.It is 16 digets long with no instructions. So, what do I do with it?

Will I be unlocking my Sim, my phone or a subset of that.. What confirmation do you get? I have the unlock carrier code from this board but I don't know how tht's different from the Metro unlock code.

Thanks....ray

You put in the SIM from the carrier the phone is locked against. It will ask you for the unlock code. You put in that code and it will accept any SIM after that.

How did you get the code? Just wondering because I would like to unlock mine to use it on the $30 plan on Tmobile.
