Root [Unoffical] TWRP 3.0.2 1/25/17

Hummm... interesting. I decided to flash back to the non-bsp 3.0.2-2 build and flash the APN fix again. I checked the last_log again and it shows no signs of the APN zip file. However, after it booted back into the system I peeked into /proc/last_kmsg and it shows an access denied to /dev/graphics/fb0 at the end of the log, but no other errors. At least it shows my attempt to flash the zip here :) I'll stick with the bsp build as it works, but I figured the extra information might be of some help.

It can most definitely kernel panic. It's good to know we can finally get last_kmsg out of this, it's been a stuggle but I made a change a month ago to start getting them. In this case I'm hoping it's a library mismatch caused by not having Qualcomm BSP. I've promoted the test version to the OP. THANK YOU!

Before rebooting to flash the new image, I checked the log again, it hasn't changed... still no mention of the zip. Can a recovery actually have a kernel panic? Anyway, flashed the new recovery image and tried to flash the APN fix, it worked! I was able to select my carrier and it completed, then I rebooted and everything was good. There seems to still be some graphics corruption, which I got a photo of (attached) but its totally useable. I've also attached the last_log again after flashing just in case there's anything you need, the second boot looks a lot better this time :) Thank you!
Apparently the Motorola Falcon had the same issue with BSP and disabled it. (https://github.com/TeamWin/android_...mmit/98986553ee9e1ba97422b207e0e0a6167ffe0528) Of course, moot point here since Aroma crashed without BSP.
