That's because the phone downloaded it as HTML code, not the real net.sh. People have been having problems with that. I'll hyperlink it so it doesn't download as HTML :p

This is from the one Zjala posted. http://fs1.d-h.st/download/00157/dPZk/net.sh

Click and it auto downloads. No need to go through site.

Oops. It bugged.

Click 'download now' and uncheck 'download with dev-host manager'. That should work too.

Think I got it now. But before it would say h+ now it says e and it's super slow can't do anything. So you think it's because I'm not at home maybe bad signal?

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums so forgive me for not wanting to read 48 pages of posts to see if anyone else had a similar issue. But I've been researching and trying to fix it for hours with no result.

To start I have ms323 (MetroPCS) version and I've flashed cm12 everything works perfectly fine so far but Data, I've done the workaround as in the OP and It doesn't do anything. Every time I try to go on the internet I get " net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOVED" I don't know if this is a model specific problems and the other hardware versions seem to be of more importance at the moment, I was just wondering if anyone else has a fix.

Did you downloaded it from PC? Sometimes if you download it from the phone it wont work like it should.
If everything is ok, check the whole thread to see if it is a general error or just device especific. Also which device do you have? Dont forget that RIL doesnt work with D25 and that may cause the problem

Forget about the device thing, muy fault... Is it a problem of your SIM card?

Well, I downgraded to root and it worked fine. Then after I upgraded to cm11 it stopped working, I thought that cm11 might have still been in beta as I got the link from a youtube video instead of finding a thread related to it. Then I updated to cm12 thinking that it would solve the problem. I'm pretty sure it's a DNS problem, WiFi does work but I pay for unlimited 4G and I'd like to use it, and I'm loving Lollipop way to much to go back to stock.

Also, if it helps any when I turn off WiFi there is an "!" on my signal meter.

I'm not sure but I don't think it's in it's update-script to wipe data, so just flash and wipe dalvik and cache and you should be golden.

Also, just in case I'm wong MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP
